This Saturday 4 July, The Swan at Streatley invites you to our first Midsummer Strings Garden Party. An evening of entertainment from a string quartet of The Royal Academy of Music and the Gabriel Latchin Jazz Trio.
Your ticket includes a welcome glass of Nyetimber (or non-alcoholic alternative), seasonal roaming canapés and access to live performances throughout the evening, from a Royal Academy of Music string quartet on the lawns to live jazz from the acclaimed Gabriel Latchin Trio.
For up to six guests, the experience includes a magnum of Nyetimber, seasonal canapés, a sharing feast from the grill, and reserved seating throughout the evening. Enjoy live strings, jazz, riverside dining and sunset drinks by the Thames as the atmosphere unfolds from golden hour into the evening.
As the afternoon unfolds by the river, enjoy live music from a string quartet from the Royal Academy of Music, performing from 4pm to 7pm.
As the light softens, the Gabriel Latchin Trio will perform indoors from 8pm to 11pm, bringing an evening of live jazz.

Throughout the evening, the Lawn Bar & Grill will be serving seasonal dishes alongside a series of specials cooked over fire and coal, from scallops roasted in shell with smoked butter and seaweed to whole grilled Devon monkfish with samphire chimichurri, slow-cooked Berkshire lamb with blistered leeks and smoked garlic, and BBQ’d summer fruits with yoghurt ice cream and miso caramel.
When the music fades and the party draws to a close, leave the journey home for tomorrow.
General Admission tickets start from £15 per person and include entry to the Midsummer Strings Garden Party, a welcome glass of Nyetimber (or non-alcoholic alternative), seasonal roaming canapés, and access to all live music performances throughout the evening.
VIP Garden Tables start from £360 and accommodate up to six guests. Each table includes entry for six guests, a reserved outdoor table for the duration of the event, a magnum of Nyetimber, seasonal roaming canapés and a sharing feast from the grill.
Think Summer Garden Party elegance with a relaxed seasonal feel. Opt for light, breathable outfits like floral dresses, linen suits, and smart summer jackets. Soft pastels, floral prints, and natural fabrics are ideal, paired with wedges, loafers, or dressy flats for outdoor comfort. The overall vibe is polished yet effortless.
Guests are welcome to arrive from 4pm for a Nyetimber reception and seasonal canapés.
Musicians from the Royal Academy of Music will perform on the lawns from 4pm until 7.30pm, followed by live jazz from the acclaimed Gabriel Latchin Trio from 8pm until 11pm.
Yes. The Lawn Bar & Grill will be open throughout the event, serving a selection of seasonal dishes, fire and coal-cooked specials, cocktails, wine, beer and soft drinks.
General Admission tickets include access to the event and communal garden spaces. Guests booking a VIP Garden Table will enjoy reserved seating for up to six guests throughout the evening.
The event is planned to take place outdoors across our riverside lawns and gardens. Should the weather require it, we may adjust performance locations or event arrangements to ensure guests can continue to enjoy the evening.
Yes, well-behaved dogs are welcome to join us. We kindly ask owners to keep dogs under control and considerate of other guests throughout the event.
Complimentary parking is available at The Swan at Streatley for guests attending the event, subject to availability.
Guests under the age of 18 are welcome when accompanied by a responsible adult.
Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by The Swan at Streatley.
